LANSONS EXPANDS HEALTHCARE CAPABILITY
Tina Woods joins Lansons today as a board director to launch Lansons Health, a start-up helping healthcare clients navigate disruption and develop opportunities in a turbulent healthcare environment.
The start-up will work with the Lansons team, to tap into their award-winning expertise in strategic consultancy and reputation management in the corporate sector; Lansons Health will also bring fresh thinking to understanding and solving client problems through partnering with the health innovation community, including academia, tech entrepreneurs, mobile health start-ups, patient advocates and behavioural scientists.
Tina joins after four and a half years with Ogilvy Healthworld, where she was deputy managing director (medical education) and global client leader, working on multi-million global accounts with leading pharma clients, including AstraZeneca, Galderma and Bristol Myers-Squibb, to help them with organisational change and patient-centred innovation.
Lansons has expanded its own healthcare work in the last two years, handling significant projects for Novartis and Simplyhealth. The agency has grown rapidly recently, with fees up 40% over the past two years. Chief executive and co-founder Tony Langham says, “Our focus is on reputation management for significant organisations. We’re finding success in the healthcare sector, and Tina’s recruitment will push us forward faster. She’s an impressive recruit, and this is an exciting day for us”.
Tina Woods says, “I am greatly looking forward to working with the Lansons team to build the health business in a very dynamic sector that is seeing new players enter the space and change very quickly as a result of technological and consumer pressures. Clients want proactive, agile agencies that can help them innovate, differentiate and communicate their value proposition effectively in an increasingly complex health ecosystem.”
Alongside her commercial work, Tina runs a social enterprise on science innovation, ColliderSCIENCE, working with leading scientists, innovators and designers to equip young people with the skills and confidence to become inventors and change agents in science and medicine.
Tina has an entrepreneurial background setting up and running previous independent health agencies, and has a degree in genetics from Cornell University in the USA and an MBA from Cass University in London.
