Social media has fundamentally changed of online communications over the last few years – but what has it meant for journalists and news-gathering?

A new whitepaper from Daryl Willcox Publishing, written by Martin Stabe, looks at the changing role of journalism in the new digital landscape and examines how social media is affecting the conversation between writers and readers. We asked digital content agency Zone to dramatise the findings.

Using newspaper clippings as a visual point of reference seemed an appropriate way to illustrate the changing face of journalism in a digital world. It allowed us to inject an element of fun and also helped us create a consistency between the different statistics, which otherwise might appear quite disparate.
