What: Sponsorship of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, as official vehicle partner. The agreement gives Ford association with the event in the media and the chance to offer money-can’t-buy VIP experiences at the Tattoo. When: First involved in 2003, Ford has been official vehicle supplier since 2004.
Why: “As market leader, we want association with events of this stature and we strive to support events throughout the UK,” says Duvall Hunter, Ford’s advertising and sponsorship specialist. “The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a premium, high-profile event and one of the biggest annual events in Scotland. It attracts an international audience as well as local attention. It’s a perfect association. In measuring its success, we gauge public awareness of our involvement, the partnership’s media reach and how it’s received by media.”
