BEST PRACTISE: CORPORATE REPORTING
Corporate reporting never stands still. Every year there are new regulations, new expectations or new ways of engaging the audience. Indeed, the audience itself seems to constantly change.
For companies seeking to follow a best practice path, it is often difficult to keep up. Best Practice: Corporate Reporting took place on 2 July at the London Stock Exchange and provided an overview of all the new areas that issuers need to think about over the next 12 months.
The half morning conference focused on theory and implementation and ensured delegates can maintain their position at the forefront of best practice in corporate reporting. With speakers from regulators and issuers, investors and advisors, this was an essential event for anyone tasked with the responsibility of maintaining a dialogue with the buy-side and the analysts and media that influence them.
The 2013 Strategic Reporting Index Accolades concluded the morning's discussion. Six honours will be conferred for exceptional annual reports published by a FTSE100 or larger-cap FTSE250 companies for years ending between 1 January 2012 and 31 December 2012. A thumbnail case study for each accolade will provide distinct insight into key aspects of truly effective corporate reporting.
Communicate magazine will be hosting further events on corporate reporting, sign up to the mailing list to receive further information.
