Crafting engaging, meaningful and informative communications for the investment audience has never been more important. With more scrutiny on business, increased regulation and the pressure of the digital media landscape, companies have to ensure their investor relations and corporate communications are operating at the highest possible standard.
For the past seven years, the Corporate & Financial Awards has celebrated companies that set the benchmark for excellence in communications to the city and its influencers. This year’s winners are recognised for their efforts in annual report development, investor relations, media relations and PR.
The top prize was bestowed upon IQ Student Accommodation and MerchantCantos, for the former’s annual report. The report was interactive, designed to reflect the business’ own purpose and was formatted in a unique way. Other winners in the annual report categories put creativity at the heart of their work. This year in particular, the annual reports submitted both online and in print exhibited a high level of design creativity, use of digital tools and videos and innovative storytelling concepts to effectively communicate to their audiences.
In terms of communications, evaluation and diligence were key in work across public relations, IPOs, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions. The Post Office worked with Lansons to better communicate its banking proposition to Millennials. It takes home the ‘Best use of digital media’ and ‘Best evaluation of a communications campaign’ gold awards.
In the consultancy awards, specialist financial communications and PR consultancy EM wins the ‘Best small agency’ award, while Lansons takes home the ‘Best IR agency or PR consultancy’ prize.
Brittany Golob, editor of Communicate magazine, says, “This year’s winners have exhibited creativity in undertaking the annual report, coherence and purpose when approaching corporate websites and effectiveness in media relations or analyst engagement campaigns. They are among Europe’s best.
